Welcome to my blog!
My name is Lucy and this is “Life As A New JET”, a blog about adventure, hardships, heartache, friendships, and experience. It is about culture, love, hate, education, and people.
You will read about my odd thoughts about life, my experiences pre, during, and post-Japan, and the JET Program. Some posts may be entertaining. Others may be boring. And some will just act as a checklist for me personally. But the point is to document this new experience in my life and hopefully others can learn from my experiences or know that they are not alone in their thoughts and feelings.
To be honest, this is the biggest thing I have ever done in my life (Japan, not the blog). This will be the first time I am living on my own, first time being apart from my family and friends for a long time, first time having to survive and fend for myself, all while in another country that is thousands of miles away that I barely know the language. Haha go big or go home, right?
So come with me on my journey and share the laughter and tears! And if there is anything you want to know about me or want me to write about, feel free to comment on a post and I will read it.
